What you can expect During your stay

This self care get away is the vision of food coach and personal chef, CC Consalvo along with her wife and creator Roe Mattar.  

When we place priorities on eating more intuitively and trusting our most basic need which is hunger, it allows us to direct our energy toward what’s most important rather than becoming distracted or over informed. In turn we find ourselves becoming more relaxed and peaceful eaters. 

 

Food is pleasure, it’s our connection to the natural world and it’s also self-care. Each time we eat we’re given an opportunity to bring into sharp focus the things that actually matter to us most. The way we feel, how we look and our overall energy levels. 

Join us on a truly magical island in the Mediterranean. You will be be cared for during your stay and enjoy local, organic food prepared with love and respect.  We’ll take it slowly, gather in supportive coaching sessions, take nature walks and reconnect with likeminded individuals in a place that even the best camera cannot capture. This is our Formentera and we want to share it with you.

 

Formentera’s beaches are rated some of the worlds most beautiful with crystal clear turquoise water  Lullaby breezes, pine trees, laid back charm and a natural light that songs have been written to honor.  

Whether you walk, swim or just cocoon, your stay will be most memorable and you’ll return home inspired, with a new sense of food as self care which is the most powerful gift you can give yourself.

Our food program features Chef CC's signature clean cuisine using only high quality and exceptionally delicious ingredients that are produced locally and seasonally without the use of harmful chemicals and hormones.  Plant based guests are welcomed and accommodated. 

Sample menu

Breakfast:

 

  • Frittata using local eggs, leek and mushroom. Arugula pumpkin seed pesto. 

  • Slow cooked butter porridge made with buckwheat, roasted almonds, berry compote.

  • House-made, super seed granola, sheep’s milk yogurt and seasonal fruit.

 

Herbal teas and organic coffee

 

Dinner: 

 

  •  Local Fish - with lemongrass coriander rice noodles in a mildly spicy coconut broth. 

  •  Orange Sage Chicken, whipped rosemary and fermented garlic carrots, seasonal greens. 

  •  Slow Braised Beef, sugo al pomodoro over handmade, local tagliatelle, aged parmesan.  

 

Plant Based Sample Menu: 

  • Wild rice cakes delicately seared with a fresh herb, citrus gremolata and shallot jam.

  • Roasted sweet potato puree, toasted garbazos, dried local fig, herbs, crispy kale. 

  • Tamari marinated jack fruit, Swiss chard confetti, tahini and roasted cashew.

Thursday afternoon

 

You arrive. We pick you up at the ferry in La Savina.

 

Refreshments, unwind and introductions. 

 

7:30pm  Welcome Dinner 

9pm - Unwind with tea and social hour 

Friday

 

8 - 8:45am  Easing into the day - meditation and light guided movement. 

 

9 -10:15am   Breakfast Al Fresca. 

 

10:30 - 12:30 Guided beach trek along Es Trucadors. Fruit snacks for the walk.  

 

1 - 4pm  Afternoon free time  - swim, lounge or explore close by Cala Saona beach via bike. Refreshments Al Fresca.  

 

4:00 - 5:30pm Group Food Coaching session topic: Our relationship to food, eating with pleasure and being present. 

 

7:30 pm Dinner 

9pm - unwind, recap and social hour 

 

 

Saturday 

 

8- 8:45am  Easing into the day - meditation and light guided movement. 

 

9 -10:15am Breakfast Al Fresca. 

10:30 -12:30 Guided walk to the light house on Cap de Barbaria.  Fruit snacks for the walk.  

1 - 4pm  Afternoon free time  - swim, lounge or explore close by beach via bike. Refreshments Al Fresca.

4:00 - 5:30pm Group Food Coaching session topic:  Embracing cooking as self care and seeing our kitchens as medicine cabinets. 

7:30pm Dinner

9pm - unwind, recap and social hour 

 

Sunday 

 

8 - 8:45am  Easing into the day - meditation and light guided movement. 

9-10:15am Breakfast 

 

10:30- 1:30pm  Mijorn Beach Trek with snacks. 

 

4:30pm Hippie Market in La Mola - 

 

7:30pm  Dinner at a local restaurant and commencement 

Monday - 

 

7:30-10am Breakfast and hasta luego. 

 

12 noon check out final drop off at ferry available.

Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellation within 60 days.

  • 50% refund for cancellation within 30 days. 

  • 0% refund for cancellation for less than 30 days from event. Payment becomes non refundable

  • Travel insurance is essential and required for this retreat
